At the end of the world

Every year over 2,000 Moldovans emigrate abroad, Portugal is in the top 10 destinations for Moldovan migrants. Thus, more than 20 thousand citizens are officially working there. The Moldovan embassy claims that their unofficial number exceeds 50 thousand. At the same time, Portugal is ranked 3rd in the list of the poorest EU countries. The minimum wage is only 580 euros per month, and the living costs have reached those of the leading countries in Europe. However, since the late 1990s and until now, Moldovans from all regions decided to leave their families and relatives to create a brighter future. They went for over 4,000 km to the end of the world,  where the earth meets the ocean.
